As the Tony Awards loom, the theater world’s biggest stars won’t just be celebrating their wins; they’ll be doing so within a lavish, exclusive hideaway. This year, Radio City Music Hall’s backstage area will transform into a glittering speakeasy, a collaboration between crystal house Baccarat and whiskey brand Dewar’s, promising a night of bespoke cocktails and unparalleled luxury.
A fourth year of hidden elegance
The Baccarat x Dewar’s speakeasy has become a coveted fixture of Broadway’s biggest night, now in its fourth year. But this isn’t a case of mere repetition; each iteration undergoes a complete redesign. This year, the Global Creative Studio at Baccarat has orchestrated a space dominated by dark wood and the soft glow of rice paper, creating an intimate and sophisticated atmosphere.
Beyond the expected Baccarat coupes and tumblers, the designers have unveiled a striking surprise: portable chandeliers, dubbed the Zenith Nomade. These suspended works of art add a touch of whimsical grandeur to the already opulent setting. The space, cleverly utilizing the Radio City Music Hall’s existing art deco carpeting, golden wallpaper, and mirrored detailing, will host approximately 200 guests, primarily nominees and VIPs.
Liquid masterpieces & signature sips
Behind the bar, crafted from dark wood and polished brass, awaits a selection of Dewar’s finest whiskeys, including the acclaimed Double Double range. These spirits form the foundation for three signature cocktails, each a collaboration between renowned mixologists. Matthew Rankin of Winnie’s Jazz Club has crafted “The Stage Door Canteen,” a bright and citrus-forward concoction, served in a classic Harcourt glass. Damiano Coren from Casa Lever brings “The Curtain Call,” a rich and vibrant blend featuring Dewar’s 21 Year Old Oloroso, presented in a Baccarat Massena Coupe. Finally, Nada Nedoba, representing the Baccarat Hotel, offers “The 21st Measure,” an indulgent and bittersweet creation incorporating Benedictine and chocolate mole bitters, served in the Baccarat Harmonie Tumbler and an exclusive Baccarat x Usher Tumbler.
For those not fortunate enough to secure an invitation to this elite gathering, the 2026 Tony Awards will be broadcast live on CBS and Paramount+ this Sunday, June 7, at 8 p.m. EST.
